How do I get a DVD made and what do I need ?
After discussing your DVD production requirements with one of Quadrille's experienced team, we can begin to prepare your programme into separate video and audio assets. You can supply these to us on Digi Beta, Beta, DVCPRO and many other tape formats.

Quadrille can also accept assets as Digital files. We can create Menu screens for your DVD or we will happily use artwork from your own graphics department. Artwork for static menus should be supplied in TIFF format at 720 by 576 pixels for PAL or 720 by 480 pixels for NTSC. Each menu consists of two TIFF files, one for the menu screen and one sub-picture screen containing the placement details for the hot spots or menu highlight buttons. These buttons should be created

with pure Black, Red, Blue or Green at RGB 255 on a background of pure White.

Video will be encoded to MPEG2. Audio will be converted to Dolby Digital. We will supply the final DVD on DVD-R disc for your own use in DVD players, DVD-equipped PCs and Macs or on DLT tape for replication.

DVD : DIGITAL VERSATILE DISC

DVD-R: DVD-Recordable. A write-once disc with a single sided capacity of 4.7gb. For use in DVD-ROM drives digital storage. DVD-R discs can be used in DVD-VIDEO players if authored with DVD-VIDEO content.

DVD-VIDEO: Intended for use with DVD players and computers equipped with a DVD-ROM drive and additional hardware or software to decode DVD-VIDEO content.
The DVD-VIDEO format allows playback of high quality video elements which can be quickly and easily navigated via menu driven interfaces.
